A brief history: Mary Anissa Jones was born on March 11, 1958 in West Lafayette, Indiana. When she was a toddler, her
parents moved her and her brother to California. At the tender age of 6, Ms. Jones (now going by her middle name) made her
first TV commercial. Two years later she landed the part of "Buffy Davis" on Family Affair.
Family Affair ran for five years. I am not sure how Anissa felt about being on televison, as in I don't know if she liked
it, if she was forced to do it, was it fun, etc, but all I know is once the TV series was over she never acted again.
Her sudden drop from acting is also a mystery, again, I have to wonder, was this her choice? Was she pressured to make
a choice if she wanted to act or not? Were family problems part of the reason she decided not to act? Did she ever regret
her decision on turning down Brian Keith's new show?
Speaking of Brian Keith, I know she kept in contact with him once the show ended, but what about the rest of the cast
members? Did she form friendships with any of the cast extras?
By 18 she was having the time of her life. Anissa had inherited a lot of money from her FA earnings, and had
her own apartment (that she shared with her brother, Paul) and she even purchased a brand new Pinto for herself (I am jealous
on this, I have always wanted to ride in a Pinto or drive one, they are so cool!) and a Corvette for Paul. She was planning
on purchasing a daycare, she had a new boyfriend, and then one night of partying ended all of that.
I could not imagine losing someone close to me, or having someone I know die the way she did. To place blame on any particular
person is obsured. Some say the drugs were influenced by the crowd she hung with, and I don't think that judgement is very
fair. We all know the consequences of taking drugs, and she choose to use them.
